General comment Cartridge fire dampers FBC are devices for use in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems at fire boundaries to maintain fire compartmentation and protect escape routes in case of fire in the building. FBC satisfies integrity, insulation and smoke leakage criteria for the declared time of fire resistance.
Tested and classified in accordance with EN 1366-2 and EN 13501-3 standards with 300 Pa under-pression.
Typical applications are in HVAC systems within walls, floors, and ceilings forming fire compartments in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. It is suitable for use in mechanical ventilation systems where certified fire protection performance is required. Compact and easy to install, the damper provides reliable fire safety performance.
The FBC fire damper is classified in accordance with EN 13501-3, achieving a fire resistance classification of EI 120 ve ho [VH] (i↔o) S. The product complies with the requirements of EN 15650 for fire dampers designing and EN 1366-2 for fire damper testing.
The reference service life (RSL) of the product is 25 years under normal operating conditions, assuming correct installation and regular maintenance in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
The FBC product is made primarily of metal, such as galvanized steel and aluminum, as well as synthetic materials like plastic and rubber, and calcium silicate, which is widely used for fire protection.
